‘My Favourite Things’ a story by Hennock

A video from Plan Australia – showing the importance of play for a child’s development. This short film takes a new approach to international development. A departure from the impoverished images we saw from Ethiopia in the 1980s and 90s. Still obvious signs of limited resources but the filmmakers have decided to take a positive approach and focus on a child’s right to dream. Nicely filmed, respectful and honest. The boy tells his own story (rather than being told by adults from developed countries) with humour and character. It doesn’t ask for donations, but advocates awareness on child rights.
